Yes I bought OIL in early January and held for a while but had to let go as it continues to get beaten down. I also don't think any regulating body such as OPEC can alter the prices that much. Clearly, the demand has gone down. I also think that there was a bit of price gouging going on in summer of 2008. People in Atlanta acted as if we were on the brink but no one was paying attention to the fact that OPEC was already starting to lower production to cope with demand.
